Bars in Madrid

You have not been to Madrid if you have not yet tasted some tapas served in almost every bar. There are a lot of tapa bars in the city. You should join the locals and have some beer with your tapas as well.

You could also go to a bar for some cocktails. If you also love music, Cava Baja Madrid is the place for you.

Cerveceria (Address: Plaza de Santa Barbara 8/ Phone: 91-319-04-49/ Hours: Daily 11:30am-midnight)

If you want a traditional Madrid bar, this would have to be it for you. Cerveceria is already a hundred years old. You would enjoy sampling a great selection of beers. They also serve liquor, coffee and cold snacks. You can also order some seafood and tapas while drinking.

Museo Chicote  (Address: Gran Via 12/ Phone: 91-532-67-37/ Hours: Daily 8am-3am)

If you want to chance upon some celebrities, this Madrid bar certainly has been visited by many stars. Of course, you will enjoy the extensive variety of cocktails here too. Besides the cocktails, they also serve breakfast and lunch until 4 in the afternoon. They are closed on Sundays though.

Areia (Address:CalleHortaleza/ Phone: 91-310-03-07/ Hours: Monday-Thursday and Sunday 12:30pm-12:00am, Friday and Saturday, 12:30pm-3:30am)

If you want to go to a cool bar, Areia is a good choice. It’s certainly a chill out bar for everyone. You can get the four poster bed for you and your friends or you could choose to seat on the cushions on the floor. You would also enjoy the Moroccan style ambiance while having some cocktails, salads and bruchettas. The place is known for overpriced drinks though. Nevertheless, the great setting still makes it worth going to.

La Corolla (Address: Calle Almendro,10/ Phone: 91-364-52-32/ Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8pm-12:30am; Friday 8pm-1am; Saturday 8pm-1:30pm; Sunday 1pm-1am)

Well, this bar is also known for quite expensive food and drinks. Nevertheless, the ambiance in La Corolla makes it a bar to visit as well. You would love the tostas and the cañas there. Tostas are basically toasts with toppings. The most popular is the avocado toppings. If you are wondering what cañas are, they are just small beers.

Miali (Address: Plaza de Santa Ana/Hours: Daily 12pm-2am)

You should visit this Madrid bar to enjoy its lovely interiors and the terrace. You could just hang out here to watch people while enjoying the great selection of tapas and beers they serve.

Cocktail Bar del Diego (Address: Reina 12/Phone: 91-523-31-06/ Hours: Daily Monday-Thursday 7pm-3am and Friday and Saturday 7pm-3:30am)

You would be attracted by the bright and modern design of this bar. But that’s because they mostly cater to the younger set. When you get there, don’t forget to sample Mojito.

Café Commercial (Address: Glorieta de Bilbao/ Phone: 91-521-56-55/ Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-12am, Friday 7:30am-2am, Saturday 8:30am-2am and Sunday 9am-12am)

The Café Commercia is also one bar you will enjoy. While being served in heavy wooden tables and seated in leather seats, you will really be able to enjoy your beer. They also serve other spirits. But one drink you must try is the Patxaran.
