So better forget about budgeting and saving. The Madrid markets will surely sway you into giving into irresistible offers.

Some Madrid Markets You Can’t Resist

Almost all Madrid markets offer irresistible products. But there are some Madrid markets that stand out from the rest. Here are some of them:

1.    El Rastro. You can hear this market’s name in almost every forum or Madrid travel tips. That alone can already convince you that this is one of the best market places in the Spanish city.

The El Rastro is situated in the Calle Ribera and Plaza de Cascorro. These streets are turned into one of Madrid’s largest markets.

This opens every Sunday or during the public holidays at around 10:30am to 3pm.

You can find various products during the El Rastro. Get mad with the rare antiques, clothes, and lots of useful used items.

The nearest metro stations you can use to get here are the Tirso de Molina and La Latina.

2.    Conde de Barajas Market. If you like paintings, then this market should never be missed in your travel list.

Painters try to sell their works of arts in the Conde de Barajas Market.

Make sure you are early to get there every Sunday morning to get the best pieces of art. Riding the La Latina can help you get there early.

3.    Mercado Puerta de Toledo. Antiques, fashion, cafes, restaurants, and art works can be easily found here. But make sure to be here on Tuesdays to Fridays.

4.    Marques de Viana Market. Artists market their works at the Calle Marques de Viana every Sunday morning. It is best you take the Tetuan metro station to get here.

5.    The Stamp Market. Are you a coin, banknote, or stamp collector? Then you should never miss the Sunday morning in the Plaza Mayor and get the earliest travel of the Sol metro station.

6.    Cuesta de Moyano. The street of Calle de Claudio Moyano can turn into a favorite place for bookworms every Sunday morning. If you are interested to sell or buy books, be here through the Atocha metro station.

Madrid Markets Everyday

Not only Sunday but everyday of the week can be a Madrid market day.

Mondays: Avenida de Felipe II, Puente de Vallecas, or Carabanchel.

Tuesdays: Avenida de Felipe II, Hortaleza, Parque de la Cornisa, San Blas, and Villa de Vallecas.

Wednesdays: Avenida de Felipe II or Fuencarral-El Pardo.

Thursdays: Avenida de Felipe II, Carabanchel, Ciudad Lineal, Moncloa Aravoca, Puente de Vallecas, Vicalvaro, or Villaverde.

Fridays: Avenide de Felipe II, Ciudad Lineal, or Fuencarral-El Pardo.

Saturdays: Avenida de Felipe II, Artesania, Barajas, Ciudad Lineal, Latina, Parque de la Cornisa, Usera, or Villaverde.

Sundays: El Rastro, Arganzuela, Cuesta de Moyano, Hortaleza, Mercado de Filatelia y Numismatica, Mercado de Modelismo, Mercado de Pintura, Puente de Vallecas, or Rastrillo de Tetuan.

Everyday is Madrid market day so shop all you can. You can even shop until you drop! Just beware of the pickpockets roaming around these busy market days.
